Newly updated, 3E Plus continues its mission to simplify the task of determining how much insulation is necessary to use less energy, reduce industrial plant emissions, and achieve cost-effective insulation improvements—all in one user-friendly software program. Learn more about the 3E Plus program in 6 short videos. 

Part 1. 3E Plus® Sign Up
Learn how to sign up and create an account for the new online version of 3E Plus.

Part 2. 3E Plus®: Setting Up Projects and Scenarios
Learn how to create, duplicate, rename, and share projects in the new online version of 3E Plus.

Part 3. 3E Plus®: Navigating Calculations
An orientation and overview of where to find key inputs for calculations in the new online version of 3E Plus.

Part 4. 3E Plus®: Calculation Types
A walk-through of each of the 11 calculation types available in the new online version of 3E Plus and how to review basic results.

Part 5. 3E Plus®: Materials
A discussion of how to add your own base, insulation, and jacket materials in the new online version of 3E Plus. Additionally, learn how to share materials with colleagues.

Part 6. 3E Plus®: Data and Reporting
An overview of how to create PDF reports, download large datasets via CSV (Excel) files, and copy results out of the new online version of 3E Plus.

Charlie HaackVice President, Technical Services, North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA)
Charlie Haack is the Vice President of Technical Services for the North American Insulation Manufacturers Association. In this role, he leads NAIMA’s technical product committees, serves on RESNET’s standards development committee, and works on codes & standard development. Prior to joining NAIMA, Mr. Haack was a manager at the consulting firm ICF where he directed a team of engineers and energy analysts performing energy policy analysis and international energy efficiency studies. Charlie is a BPI certified Building Analyst and LEED accredited professional.
